TC Consult was commissioned by Welsh Government & Newport City Council to provide a grant valuation and monitoring surveying for the part publicly funded £35m City Campus for the University of Wales, Newport.
The commission required a proactive and innovative approach to verify legal agreements and construction costs. It required full collaboration with the University team from the Deputy Vice Chancellor to the site team, and included open book meetings at the University’s offices, at consultants’ offices, and on site.
The building is rated BREEAM Excellent and encompasses state of the art environmentally friendly construction techniques and systems.
The completed project is a significant landmark building and a major piece of the Newport City master plan.
